- HYBRIS:
- --------------------------------------
- Now, we have another shoot'em up. It's
- called HYBRIS and you have to do a
- vertical flight over the screen. Sum-
- thin positive about it is, that the
- backround was well painted & sprites
- fine animated.
- That is all, one needs to say about
- the concept ofthe game. You see, it is
- quite primitive, but as it consists of
- cool music, too,the game is very good.
- You have three different stages with
- suberb graphics. There are lots of
- different enemy fighter squadrons,
- which you have to blast to hell. And
- of course there are ground bases you
- have to fuck, too. In the 2nd stage,
- you fly over a sea. There, you have
- some enemy submarines, so be carefull
- and pay attention.
- Just fly near the top, if there is a
- base with shield, 'coz they are very
- dangerous. At the end of each level,
- you have to blow a big spaceship. This
- is quite difficult, but you have some
- #move 325,0
- extra weapons. Press 'space' and all
- enemies on the screen will vanish.
- Press 'Return' and your weapons will
- turn to something better, so that you
- can shoot ground bases with shields.
- This is even better if you have more
- extras. Be sure of flying near the
- middle of the screen, 'coz otherwise,
- you ain't see the enemy approaching
- and you'll be given a ticket to lucifer
- or to the Atari firm.
- By the way, hit 'P' to pause and un-.
- At the end of the last level, there
- is a big spaceship and ya to have to be
- good. Have you ever wondered what the
- meaning of the rounds beside the number
- of lives shows you? It says how many
- times you can press 'SPACE' or 'RETURN'
- and await a reaction. Don't waste these
- extras, or die...! Overall: Shoot 'em
- up, but very good done. <MYSTYX>
